Penni Bozadzis, MA CCC-SLP earned a Master's Degree with honors in Speech-Language Pathology from the State University of New York at Geneseo. She was awarded a Maternal and Child Health grant and received specialized leadership training as part of a University Affiliated Program (UAP) at University of Rochester Medical Center. She holds an Associates Degree in Sign Language Interpreting from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Since graduating, Penni has gained experience in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and therapeutic riding centers in New York, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Texas. In October of 1999 she opened a private practice in speech therapy called Learning Together Therapy.
Penni has more than 20 years of equestrian experience including dressage, hunter jumping, and western trail. She has served as an assistant coach with the Equestrian Special Olympics and given riding instruction to deaf and visually impaired individuals. In 2001, she was certified as a Registered Level Instructor through the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA), and was the Medical Advisor on the Board of Directors of the Lone Star Therapeutic Equestrian Network (LSTEN).
Penni Bozadzis began Thoughtful House Equestrians (T.H.E.) therapeutic riding and hippotherapy program in March of 2005. |
