Daniel Hollenbeck

Dan Hollenbeck, BSEE, Director of Information Technology for Thoughtful House, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992. He has held numerous positions, including Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology (IT) Manager, IT Consultant, and Web Developer.

In 2001, while employed as an IT Manager for a large NIH (National Institutes of Health)-funded medical research organization in Pittsburgh, PA, Dan founded FightingAutism, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with autism through research, education, advocacy, and treatment. He is currently the Director of FightingAutism.

In 2007, Dan and his family relocated to Austin, TX where he works at Thoughtful House as Director of IT. He is responsible for the development of our research and intake databases, patient and staff portals, and medical practice management software, as well as supporting our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Dan also assists researchers with research design, data access, data management and data analysis by applying database informatics.

He is an expert in database design, web application development, and network technologies.
